The advert informed me of everything I needed to know regarding the sale of my property and instilled me with confidence. It's understandable why the process of selling a property is rated as one of the top ten most stressful life events preceded by death , serious illness and divorce. Add that to an economic crisis, freezes on mortgage lending, a downturn in property prices and a wealth of apartments on the market in Southport this was going to be a very challenging task. Despite trying two other agents with little or no interest, the decision to switch to Karen Potter turned out to be "The right Move" if you'll pardon the pun. Whilst realistic about anticipated asking prices against original valuations, the team have been proactive in their approach in helping us secure a sale. Having found themselves in some "unusual" unforeseen circumstances like our experience and finding themselves caught up in the middle of some rightly anxious buyers and concerned solicitors, despite the numerous enquiries they had to deal with towards the end of the selling process they remained professional, friendly and helpful. Dear Karen, I am delighted that the sale is complete and all went according to plan. I would thoroughly recommend you to anyone who is buying or selling a property. The service that you offer is excellent from start to finish. The preliminary meeting was handled efficiently and with care and thought, given the circumstances of us selling the property. All the viewings were handled by the agents and we received feedback after each viewing by email and phone. Having not moved house for 28 years we both feel fortunate that the house we wanted to purchase was being sold by estate agent Karen Potter. Neither of us would have had a clue which estate agent to use so it seemed appropriate to sell our house through them as well. Speaking personally I always thought that the price a house was being sold for by estate agents was a bit of a lottery-think of a number and double it!? Not so. The price we discussed and arrived at was carefully judged where we knew as sellers that we were getting a fair price AND at the same time would attract a buyer. We advertised our house in the first week of 2013(not always the best time of year-just after Christmas) and within 4 weeks of the "for sale" sign going up, had received an offer which we accepted. In turn, our offer for buying the house we had seen was also accepted. The process of buying and selling was undoubtedly helped by a friendly, efficient and most professional of staff which even included a visit from some of the office staff to see our house, so that they could give at first hand their view of our property to any prospective buyers. We as buyers/sellers cannot have asked for better customer service- which in 2013 up and down the country in various guises is not always favorable, and can thoroughly recommend Karen Potter estate agents. After six very long years of trying to sell my late parents apartment, appointing and terminating 3No. estate agents, getting fed up with having to contact them all the time for feedback and advice etc. I discovered that an apartment had been sold in our block by Karen Potter after a relatively short time on the market. With nothing to lose I contacted Karen and arranged a valuation in early January 2013. I found her to be very professional and knowledgeable, but of course I was sceptical as I told her "with all due respect I have heard it all before". Dear Karen Potter and the team, As I entered the sale of my late mum's flat with real trepidation: everyone I talked to told me I would be lucky to sell at all in such a depressed market. Nothing could have been further from the truth. With Karen Potter's professional expertise and friendly enthusiasm, the flat was marketed very swiftly and effectively. In a week from the property being on the website I had a viewing which later led to an offer. In fact, by the time the potential purchasers came back with their offer I had another excellent offer to consider. I have very recently purchased a property through Karen Potter Estate Agents and found it to be a refreshingly straight forward experience. As a buy-to-let investor I regularly deal with Estate Agents. Many of the agents I have dealt with do not make it easy to view properties being very limiting when it comes to available time slots etc. I have on many occasions expressed interest in properties and never heard back from some agents. I am pleased to say that my experience with Karen Potter was very different to these other agents.
