Estate Agents in Dorking - Our prominent Dorking office is situated in a busy High Street position opposite the White Horse Hotel and adjacent to the main Post Office. Our spacious office deals with residential sales, lettings and new homes and a warm welcome is open to all.

On the sales side, our experienced Associate, Jamie Burgess, manages the day to day running of residential sales and Alex Pritchard manages the lettings department. Jamie is assisted by Senior Sales Negotiator, Paul Carey and Sales Negotiator, Selina Miles. In the lettings department, Alex is assisted by Lettings Negotiators, Eloise Probert and Annette Gray. The Dorking office is overseen by Senior Partner, Bruce Shaw.

This office covers an extensive area encompassing the town centre and the surrounding villages of Westcott, Abinger, Holmbury St Mary, Peaslake, Gomshall and Shere to the west, North and South Holmwood, Beare Green, Newdigate, Capel, Ockley, Forest Green, Oakwood Hill and Wallis Wood to the south, Brockham, Betchworth, Buckland and Leigh going east and finally Westhumble, Ranmore, Box Hill and Mickleham to the north.

* How can I be sure that I have appointed a professional Agent?

Patrick Gardner can provide clients with complete piece of mind as we are a member firm of the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), Association of Residential Letting Agents (ARLA), a regulated Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) firm and a member of The Property Ombudsman.

* Do we have to pay extra for accompanied viewings?

No. Our fee is inclusive and all our services that are included will be set out in our terms of contract letter sent to you prior to marketing so you can be clear of your costs. We are more than happy to accompany potential purchasers over your property and will be agreed in advance and accompanied by an experienced member of our sales team. We are always available outside office hours for appointments if required.

* Do you provide feedback following viewings?

However, we are also obliged to understand how a purchase is being funded and as part of that process a we need to ask whether a prospective purchaser is utilising a mortgage and at what stage this has progressed to before making a recommendation to accept an offer.

Whilst we do not sell mortgages or any other financial products we can recommend a local expert that will assist in securing competitive rates of funding for a purchase.

Buying a house is one of the biggest financial decisions that anybody will make in life. It can be a lengthy and complicated process. Our partners at Ignite Financial Services Ltd can provide you with suitable advice and will assist in making the home buying process as easy and stress free as is possible.

We can arrange appointments with Ignite at their office in Epsom or alternatively at your home, your place of work or at one of our four offices. Ignite advisors are available 7 days a week until 9pm for your convenience.

If a property search is just starting or is on-going, the first meeting will outline the process of buying a house and most importantly establish your budget and the maximum purchase price. Whether you are first time buyer, buying your next home, remortgaging or buying for investment Ignite can guide you through the financial process with access to 100's of competitive products.

Following your meeting with Ignite an Agreement To Lend in Principle will be sourced which will give confidence to both a prospective purchaser and a seller of your financial ability to proceed.

All mortgage applications are processed up to completion of contracts. The typical broker fee is £298, payable on application. The precise amount will depend on your circumstance. This fee will be fully refunded if the application is declined.

Bruce Shaw BSc (Hons) MRICS - Senior Partner

Bruce first became involved in estate agency in 1986 joining Osenton Lamden in Ashtead village. Thereafter, Bruce worked in London's West End qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor (RICS) in 1994. In 1996 Bruce returned to agency with Patrick Gardner & Co becoming Partner in 1998. As an RICS Registered Valuer, Bruce undertakes 'Red Book' Valuations for Inheritance Tax purposes, Capital Gains Tax Valuations and Matrimonial Valuations. He has vast experience with a range developments and development opportunities. Bruce, who has lived most of life in Ashtead has two grown up children and in his spare time enjoys gardening and when time allow indulges in his passion - fly fishing in Devon and further afield..

Jamie has worked in the property industry since leaving school, initially for a development company and in 2008 joining a local estate agent as a junior negotiator. Jamie grew up in Leatherhead and went to Oakfield Junior School in Fetcham and Therfield Secondary School in Leatherhead. Jamie lives in Fetcham with his partner Danielle and two young children. He enjoys playing golf and badminton, going to the gym and walking his two dogs Boycie and Lola.
