John Alexander were established in 2006 as a local and independent company, initially focusing on the private rented sector and subsequently branching out in Sales.

Our Lettings department are probably the largest agent in Colchester with approximately 700 managed properties and growing daily!

We let and manage a large proportion of private properties whilst also specialising in the student market. We have a unique position at the Hythe, next to the University so we have students coming into the office on a daily basis, searching for properties.

We are members of NALS, SafeAgent, which requires Client Money Protection Insurance and use the Deposit Protection Service for the safeguard of tenant deposits. We also regularly attend legal courses to ensure we are well versed in the ever changing regulation with regard to the rental market.
