Area tips:

Jump on the ferry from Keyhaven to Hurst Castle, built by Henry VIII, the castle imprisoned Charles I and was even used during the Second World War. Stroll back to the village along the pebbled beach and enjoy a cup of tea of glass of wine at one of our many hostelries.

Head down to the beach at the end of June to catch a magnificent view of the famous Round the Island Race which has around 1,600 boats, this one day race round the Isle of Wight is one of the largest yacht races in the world.

Climb aboard the local open top bus, spoiling yourself with a splendid journey (complete with commentary) throughout the sights views and picturesque villages of the New Forest.

The Arts & music festival held in July has been growing in popularity for many years now and is an important date on everyone?s calendar, gathering thousands of locals and visitors over the five day period and if you are lucky enough to spend Christmas in Milford on Sea be sure to visit the village green to see the carol singers in full voice and enjoy late night shopping on the high street.

Milford on Sea is a birdwatchers paradise, where at the saltmarshes and mudflats of Keyhaven, and the Pennington Marshes Wildlife Reserve, you can spot birds of international importance.
