The kitchen and utility rooms include integrated Bosch appliances, with quartz worktops. The dining and living space features a log burning stove, with bi-fold doors leading to a mature rear garden spanning over 100ft. This beautiful home is offered to the market with no onward chain.

Accommodation:
Entrance hall, downstairs cloakroom, utility room, kitchen/diner, music/entertaining space, front living room, three first floor bedrooms, family bathroom, fourth loft bedroom with en-suite. To the front, there is off street parking for two vehicles, electric charging point, garage storage space with electric roller door. To the rear, there’s a mature garden over 100ft in length, with an assortment of shrubs and trees.

Location:
Prime central Headington cul-de-sac location. Headington is host to multiple hospitals and many educational institutions, including John Radcliffe Hospital and Oxford Brookes University, within easy reach of the city centre, making this location popular amongst medics and academics. Windmill Primary School, St Andrews Primary school and Headington Girls School are all in close proximity.

The Thornhill Park and Ride, regular buses, A40 and M40 are easily accessible making Headington a convenient commute to London and surrounding areas. The property lies less than a mile from Headington’s amenities including shops, supermarkets, coffee shops and eateries, and is in close proximity to the beautiful South Parks overlooking the city of Oxford.

In the owners words:
"We purchased Highfield Avenue because we found the attic room much bigger and lighter than many 4 bed houses with attic conversions we had seen. We also loved the long back garden, which in the spring/summer is a peaceful space and has plenty of room for children’s games and entertaining. Since purchasing the house, we have made significant improvements to the downstairs accommodation.

We have very much appreciated being in a cul-de-sac (no through) road, as this means the street is very quiet, despite being so accessible to shops and close to the city centre. It is possible to walk to everything you need, and has open green spaces in most directions.Highfield Avenue is a friendly and welcoming community, with a mixture of families and people who have lived here for many years. The old farmhouse to the back of the property is an unusual aspect. We appreciate the historical significance of the farmhouse to the surrounding area of ‘Highfield’, which gives an interesting perspective on the area.

The house is in a great location, only 15 min walk from the shops, cafes and restaurants in Headington. It is possible to walk/bus very easily into the town centre; or to cut down to the Cowley rd.There are many bus services in easy reach, as well as the London tube and the Heathrow/Gatwick coaches that all stop at the Brookes University on the London Road.

For leisure, there are many places to walk. It is a short walk to University Parks (5-10 mins, west). From here it is possible to walk to the Plain (Botanic gardens) and Christ Church meadow and the river (30 mins walk). It is also possible to walk through University Parks across to Headington Hill Park and circle back towards Old Headington. To the east, it is possible to walk to Shotover and the C.S. Lewis Nature reserve. Across the Old rd (south), there is a walkway through to Warneford meadow and the Lye Valley nature reserve."
