There is a local primary school and the popular schools of Kingsbury Green Academy, Calne and Devizes Comprehensive, as well as several very good independent schools. The historic market town of Devizes is approximately 4 miles away with a variety of shops, restaurants, coffee houses and a weekly traditional food and produce market. Surrounded by unspoilt countryside close to the Roundway Downs, there are ample walks, footpaths and bridleways as well as three supermarkets and a leisure centre. Chippenham, being 8 miles away, offers train services to London Paddington in about an hour.
