Description
Brickworks Says - Located moments from the Thames River, this effortlessly stylish 2 bedroom terraced home is a stone's throw from The Cut, putting Borough Market, Covent Garden and Southbank at your fingertips.
Pops of colour, natural materials and clean lines bring a stylish radiance to this thoroughly modern home. Thoughtfully reworked by the current owners, in line with its original 1970s design, it is set over two light-filled floors. Cosy dining and living nooks abound throughout, and plenty of built-in storage allows for functional everyday living. While, towards the rear, the south-facing garden provides a place for quiet respite from the hustle of London.
Nicholson Street is perfectly situated to explore central London, whether on foot or by bike. A smorgasbord of brilliant eateries and foodstuffs can be found in the iconic Borough Market less than a 15 minute walk away, while the Tate Modern and Southbank's art and cultural hive sit right on your doorstep.
The Owners Say - We will greatly miss living in this wonderful home and have especially adored socialising in the kitchen and lounging with a cup of tea in the built-in corner bench, our favourite spot. The spare bedroom/office is a perfect spot for admiring the beautiful cherry trees on the grassy area in front of the house, which bring incredible displays of colour through the seasons. Our south-facing garden, with its amazing climbing rose that flowers in May, is the perfect sun trap.
The area cannot be beaten and the proximity to town was our main reason for moving here. We love our daily walks along the River Thames and enjoy walkable access to anywhere in town. We have great food close by in Flat Iron Square and Borough Market as well as a huge array of restaurants on The Cut and Lower Marsh, and plenty of other useful shops such as supermarkets, hardware shops, and chemists.

Getting around:
Aside from having a host of London's most sought-after locations on your doorstep, you are spoilt for choice when the need or wish arises to head further afield. The stations at Waterloo, Southwark, Borough & London Bridge are all within easy walking distance, providing links to every corner of the Capital. And when you need to travel further still, Blackfriars Station gets you to St Pancras (in 8 mins!), and regular direct trains to Gatwick and Luton airports, opening up convenient connections to Europe and beyond.
Recent work:
The current owners have removed an internal wall to open up the kitchen and have installed a new bespoke kitchen (including electrics and plumbing) by Milk Furniture. They also removed a shower room wall, and added a second WC. They added skylights in the stairwell and shower room, and a linked smoke alarm system to comply with safety regulations. They put in new outdoor decking and built new custom storage throughout.
A brand new boiler has also been recently fitted.
