Brabourne is not one of Kent's picture postcard villages. It is however one of the best to live in. Together with its immediate neighbour, Smeeth, it is awash with village facilities.
There are three pubs in the village itself and another in East Brabourne, The Five Bells, which regularly wins awards. There is an excellent village shop and Post Office, a village hall (famous for Brabourne's Got talent Competition), two garages (one with attended petrol pumps - you don't even have to get out of your car!), a hairdressers and, whisper it quietly, another Estate Agent!
There are regular buses leaving for Ashford and Folkestone.
Brabourne Primary School has a very good reputation. It is set in a beautiful countryside location and the children get a very rounded education there. The school fêtes are always good at Brabourne, They get their fair share of pupils through the Kent Test and into Grammar schools..
There is a good family atmosphere in the village with children out playing safely on their bikes, at the play park in Smeeth and unlike many villages, walking to and from school.
There is a very wide range of properties available in Brabourne and the full spectrum of residents. Brabourne is somewhere you can really still live a full village life in the community.
