You will be required to pay one month's rent of £441.00 in advance prior to the tenancy start day. Please note that if you are claiming or Housing Element of Universal Credit there are some service charges that would not be covered. These include charges towards the cost of administration £1.81pcm, for personal heating £10.18pcm, site license £0.07pcm and a charge towards the cost of support £7.85pcm. A lettings Officer can give you a full break breakdown of the charges of what is eligible for payments.
If you are accepted and do become a Platform Housing Group tenant, you will be offered a starter tenancy. If there have been no breaches or issues within the first year of your tenancy you will be considered for an assured lifetime tenancy.
Please be aware / Universal Credit will only pay for the property you are living in, and you will need to give notice on your current tenancy. If you are a current private tenant, council tenant or a housing association tenant you will be required to give notice on your current home. This is usually 4 weeks or 1 months' notice. If you are a current tenant of Platform Housing Group, you will be required to give 4 weeks or 1 months' notice. You will only need to give notice if you have been informed that you are being considered/offered a property. If you have any further questions, please contact your landlord.
Please note all properties are unfurnished and Platform Housing Group does not cover your contents as part of the tenancy agreement. Contents insurance is the tenant's responsibility.
There may be occasions where the property will need to be withdrawn, and you will be notified through the system.
