Description

A meticulously refurbished four bedroom, two bathroom family home spanning approximately 2000 sq ft set in the desirable village of Winterslow.

The current owners have refurbished 1 Red Lane to a high specification throughout and the property is focused towards the fantastic views to the front and rear of the property.

Upon entering the property, you are greeted by two reception rooms, one to the left and one to the right. These could work perfectly for a sitting room and a play room; the sitting room to the left has a log burner and both rooms benefit from views over the village. Both reception rooms flow through to the kitchen/dining room which has bi-fold doors out onto the patio. The kitchen has been well thought out, with a very practical layout for entertaining and family life; moreover, it has been finished to an incredibly high standard. Adjoining the kitchen/dining room are the utility room and downstairs wc; the utility room has rear access and should work well as a boot room and a dog room, if needed. In addition, there is under floor heating throughout the kitchen, utility room and downstairs wc.

Moving upstairs, the principal bedroom is a showstopper. There is a Juliet balcony to make the most of the views over the neighbouring fields, a dressing room and en suite shower room to accompany the large double bedroom. Furthermore, there are two large double bedrooms, one of which has a useful walk-in wardrobe, a small double bedroom and a wonderful family bathroom.

The property is pleasantly situated on The Common, which lies at the centre of the popular village of Winterslow. The Village offers good local facilities including a well regarded primary school, shop and post office, village hall, public house and doctors surgery. There are a number of clubs and societies which cater for the active community. The Cathedral City of Salisbury is approximately seven miles west; there is an extensive range of educational, recreational, leisure and shopping facilities, which combine with a twice weekly market in addition to a mainline railway station (Waterloo).

There is a driveway (with an electric car charging point) providing off-road parking for a couple of vehicles, along with a layby parking space on the road. Steps lead to the front garden, which is mainly laid to lawn, with mature flower and shrubbery borders, shrubs and a raised decked area that takes advantage of the views to the front and the south/west facing direction. The rear garden is generous in size, with a patio area abutting the immediate rear of the building and steps leading to the remainder of the garden, which is laid to lawn. In addition, there is a large covered outdoor dining area, which is a fantastic sun trap and offers the opportunity for outdoor dining.

From Salisbury, proceed in a north-easterly direction along the A30 Andover Road, and after approximately four miles, turn right into Firsdown. Continue along the road, and go straight on at crossroads and up the hill into West Winterslow. Take the next left and continue into the village, passing the shop on the right, and continue down the hill onto The Common and then Gunville Road. Turn left onto the The Flashett and then head onto Red Lane, where the property will be found on the right-hand side.
