The listed, seventeenth century, thatched cottage, sits on a south facing garden plot, that affords good parking, on a driveway within an enclosed picket fence garden. The village is home to the former Bletsoe Castle, the birthplace of Margaret Beaufort, the mother of Henry VII and grandmother of Henry VIII.
The timber framed property has a good size entrance hall and sitting room to the front. This is the main reception room with large inglenook fireplace, storage cupboard and door to the front garden.
The kitchen dining room is a later addition to the building, with plenty of storage cupboards and two windows for natural light.
Further down the hallway, at the back of the cottage, is bedroom three/ living room. This links to the terrace and garden. A good size room which catches the sun from the French doors and bow window.
On the first floor there is a small landing with door to the three tall sloping ceiling beamed rooms. Bedroom one has two windows and a built in wardrobe.
Bedroom two, a single room with window to the side and a bathroom. This has a bath with shower over, sink and wc.
Outside there are seating areas dotted to the front, side and rear of the property. A raise terrace at the back of the cottage with a few steps down to patio area, raised planters and storage shed. The rear garden is fairly small but enjoys a high degree of privacy and is a sun trap.
The village has a restaurant pub, village hall with playing fields and church.
