Description
Poundcroft House is an absolutely charming detached period property enjoying a good degree of privacy within enclosed grounds off a private lane on the edge of the village.
The accommodation is arranged over three floors and enjoys an abundance of character with exposed internal beams and brickwork, ornate fireplaces and spacious rooms throughout. A beautiful kitchen/breakfast room with a range and stone tiled floor leads to a dining hall with open fire, oak flooring and window seat. There is a family room which links back to the kitchen and a large sitting room at the far end plus utility room and cloakroom. On the first floor the main bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and a well-appointed en suite bathroom, and there are two more bedrooms and two bathrooms. The top floor has two further very good sized rooms, set in the eaves with exposed timbers and dormer windows overlooking the garden.
The grounds are a feature of the property that sets it apart with wonderful mature trees and large lawn areas that are a perfect enclosed space to let the children run wild. There is a gravel driveway behind double gates that leads to a double garage. Off the sitting room is a well sheltered outside dining area.
