Godstone is a quintessential Surrey village, centred around a picturesque green with a pretty duck pond. There are a number of clubs, societies and events, such as the annual fete and donkey derby, take place on the green.

The popular market town of Oxted is three miles away as is Caterham, which both have a wider range of local shopping facilities including a Waitrose, other supermarkets, local coffee shops and restaurants. Tandridge Leisure Centre is in Oxted and the popular Everyman cinema is located on Station Road.

For the commuter Oxted and Caterham Stations have train services to London Victoria and London Bridge (from 32 mins from Oxted). The A22, the M25 junction 6 and ultimately the wider motorway network is just over a mile away at the Godstone interchange. For the international traveller Gatwick airport is 11 miles to the south west.

The surrounding countryside offers scope for countless outdoor activities including sailing, fishing, windsurfing, cycling and open swimming and diving at Divers Cove in Godstone.

Godstone is surrounded by beautiful Surrey countryside and both the Greensand Way and North Downs Way pass through the area. There are numerous places to walk locally, including National Trust woodlands, and Godstone Farm is nearby. The area is well served with state and independent schools for all ages. These include Godstone Primary School, The Hawthorns Prep School, Oxted secondary School, Hazelwood Prep School, Caterham and Woldingham Girls.
