Rothbury offers a host of amenities to include supermarket, butchers, bakers, pubs, doctor surgery, first and middle schools and multiple independent retailers.

Rothbury makes a very convenient base for walking into the Northumberland National Park and Simonside, as well as offering less strenuous riverside walks. Rothbury also has a popular 18 hole golf course. One of the main attractions to Rothbury is the famous Cragside House and grounds, nestled in the Northumberland National Park on the edge of the town it proves a popular day out for many locals and visitors.

Rothbury lies approximately, 12 miles from Alnwick, 15 miles from Morpeth and 29 miles from Newcastle upon Tyne.
