Description

Nestled close to the heart of the sought after village of Toddington this deceptively spacious two bedroom semi detached bungalow provides well proportioned, stylish internal accommodation finished to an exceptionally high standard.

Approach is via a block paved driveway which allows parking for several vehicles with a further shingled area to the side. Once inside the property itself you’re immediately greeted by the entrance hall which has attractive herringbone flooring, a staircase leading to the first floor accommodation and, to the far end, the kitchen/breakfast room. This has been fitted with a comprehensive range of Shaker style floor and wall mounted units with lighter coloured work surfaces over, whilst several integrated appliances have been woven into the design and a breakfast bar provides informal dining. Beyond here is a utility room which affords space for other free standing goods, as well as access into the garden. To one side is a stylish cloakroom which has been refitted with a low level wc and a wash hand basin set into a vanity unit. Running parallel to here is the principal reception room, the living room, which commands impressive dimensions, in this case 17’3ft by 10’4ft making for flexible furniture placement. It has been decorated in neutral tones and hues and has sliding patio doors opening into the garden, ensuring the room is flooded with an abundance of natural daylight. Positioned to the front of the home are both of the bedrooms, one of which measures 10’5ft by 10’4ft and the other which extends to 12’1ft by 9’1ft with an attractive bay window. They are both serviced by a stylish shower room comprising of a double enclosure, cistern concealed wc and a wash hand basin set into a vanity unit. Modern tiling adorns the walls and the look is finished with a heated towel rail, recessed ceiling spotlights and an obscure window.

On the first floor is a useful study/occasional bedroom, depending on requirements. It has ample eaves storage and provides delightful elevated views to the side as well as down the garden to the rear.

Externally the rear garden is sizeable and has been thoughtfully designed with a good sized patio area, perfect for relaxing or entertaining, whilst the remainder of the garden has been laid to lawn with a deep border along one side and hard standing to the other. The boundary is enclosed by timber fencing with gated side access.

The property is available for occupation from approximately the end of June 2025, subject to the successful completion of the necessary referencing checks.

On the Northern edge of the village is Toddington Manor which is a stunning Tudor Manor house with a deep, rich history predating the Norman invasion of 1066, visited by Elizabeth I in 1563 where she knighted the owner, Henry Cheney. In more recent, light hearted village history Kevin McCloud, presenter of TV show Grand Designs was born and raised in Toddington, English poet William Blake is said to have drunk in the, now converted, Angel pub, whilst child actor Jack Wild, best known for his role as the Artful Dodger in the film Oliver is buried in the parish cemetery.
