Situation
The small village of Hungarton is situated on a hilltop surrounded by beautiful Leicestershire countryside. With a rich history dating back to the 11th century, it was mentioned in the Domesday Book and the village is known for its peaceful and tranquil atmosphere.

Hungarton has a number of historic buildings and landmarks that are worth visiting and is well served by an excellent village pub “The Ashby Arms”, village hall, playground, and a communal tennis court. St. John the Baptist Church is a beautiful 13th-century church located in the heart of the village. The interesting features, at the Church includes a Norman font and a 14th-century tower. The village also has a number of old cottages and farmhouses that date back to the 17th and 18th centuries.

A popular destination for walkers and hikers, the village is located close to the Leicestershire Round, a 100-mile circular walk that takes in some of the most beautiful countryside in the county. Also located close to Bradgate Park, an 830-acre park that is home to a variety of wildlife including deer and foxes. The park is a popular destination for families and is a great place to enjoy a picnic or a walk.
