Description

A superbly extended & versatile detached chalet, offering two or three bedrooms, generous garden, parking and a garage, set in a popular village with a shop & pub.

The Property
This well-loved detached chalet style home has had one owner since being built around 60 years ago. The property has been beautifully maintained during this time, and has been updated as required. It now offers double glazed doors and windows, as well as oil-fired central heating. Extended in relatively recent times, the property now offers extremely versatile rooms with total ground floor living possible, if desired.

The front door opens to the hall. The traditional L-shaped lounge / diner is to the front and has a large south-facing window, flooding the room with light. The kitchen has been cleverly extended to offer plenty of food preparation area as well as space for family mealtimes around the table, whilst overlooking the rear garden. A utility area is set to one side and has a door opening to the garden. A sitting / bedroom has been created to offer a further reception room, or a third bedroom. This has patio doors opening to the garden. The ground floor is completed with a useful shower room / WC.

On the first floor, there are two double bedrooms, each with built-in storage. They share the bathroom set between the two.

Outside, there is a lawned front garden, setting the house back from the roadside. The driveway provides ample parking before leading on to the single garage.
The rear garden has a paved patio spanning the back of the house and accessible from the kitchen and the sitting room. The lawn is a manageable size and has a few shrub beds to the borders. A further patio is set to the back of the garden, so that the sunshine can be enjoyed throughout the day. At the back of the garage is a useful boiler house cum workshop.

Location
Nassington is a popular village with a pub and shop. There is also a primary school. The historic towns of Oundle and Stamford are not far away and offer the delights of traditional market towns, with boutique shops and restaurants, as well as supermarkets and other facilities. Peterborough is about 12 miles away and offers extensive facilities, as well as main line rail travel, with journey times to London King’s Cross, from about 48 minutes.
