Description
Hunter’s Moon is a charming cottage with late 18th Century origins. Probably a stone barn, or even a single storey cottage, the property was altered and extended during the 20th Century, to create a two-storey dwelling with a superb amount of living space with a good degree of versatility.
The ground floor has a small entrance hall with the cloakroom to one side. The living room is within the original part of the house and is full of character. The inglenook houses a woodburning stove, which creates a cosy focal point. The dining room is adjacent and has a quarry tiled floor, making a stylish and atmospheric room for formal occasions.
The kitchen / breakfast room is at the back of the house and is a superb size, with plenty of light. The kitchen area is fitted with a range of wall and base units. A gas hob, electric ovens and a microwave are built-in. The breakfast area overlooks the garden and offers ample space for family or formal mealtimes. The garden room is open plan to the kitchen area, creating a lovely, sociable living space, with access directly to the garden.
Stairs rise from the living room, to the first floor landing.
The principal bedroom suite is quite striking, with a walk-though dressing room, fabulous bedroom with vaulted ceiling and an ensuite shower room. Across the landing is the second bedroom, which is a comfortable double room with a dual aspect and fitted wardrobes, either side of the bed space. This room has use of the main bathroom, which is fitted with a bath, basin and WC.
Outside, there is a drive to the side of the cottage, which has a covered parking space before leading on to the single garage. The rear garden is a delight. A patio spans the back of the house and a path leads to a second terrace which is set to capture the sun throughout the day. The shaped lawn has well-stocked shrub borders giving interest throughout the year. The garden enjoys good privacy.
