What We Love About Our Home

One of the things we’ve truly cherished is the incredible proximity to the water — just across the road and you’re at the waterfront. We often take our kayak or paddleboards out and within seconds, we’re enjoying life on the water. The local community is another standout — it’s warm, welcoming, and wonderfully safe for children. The village has charming little shops, and the neighbours are genuinely friendly.

From a home perspective, the space has been a game-changer. The top floor provides an ideal area for teenagers or older children — a private retreat within the security of the house. Above the garage is a huge, versatile room that has served as a cinema, an office, and even a business space. It's perfectly separated enough from the main house to give a real work/life balance or offer a quieter spot for the kids.

The garden is another highlight — it’s all Astroturf, making it completely low-maintenance, and it’s a great size for families. It’s also not overlooked at all, offering rare privacy. We’ll be leaving the 8-seater hot tub, which has been a fantastic feature for entertaining and relaxing.

There really are no box rooms here — space is something we’ll miss the most.
