Description
This is a fairly enchanting story in terms of the village of Farley Hill as several years ago this used to be the very popular and quaint public house known as `The Fox & Hounds` dating all the way back to 1854 when it was known as the `Fox & Horn`.
It enjoys wonderful views over the surrounding countryside from its elevated position whilst commanding a good position within Church Road in the village. Farley Hill is a very highly sought after village within Berkshire and nicely positioned in terms of access to a number of facilities.
Having been converted to a residential home by a local developer, the current owners then decide to strip it back and start again and did the most amazing job. The pictures you see now are from when their works were finished, in more recent years the property has been rented out so isn`t quite as shiny but it does show you how it can be.
Oh, and I live here so I`m a tad bias about this village, I live here, I love it and you WILL be vetted :)
Through the gated entrance and you see for yourself that parking for family and guests won`t be an issue here and set on a corner plot, and facing the correct way, you do have the privacy here that you would no doubt want.
Wandering inside you have five reception spaces which in turn gives some real versatility on how to live, basically you can see how these spaces can then change as life changes. Off to the right takes you to a playroom or family room, a lovely size and angled feature windows that give it something extra, beyond this room you then have the study or office.
If you had turned left as you came in you would have found yourself in the fantastic kitchen / breakfast room, I love the fact that this space really works yet it also has a quirkiness about it that adds real interest.
