The Current Owners Love:
The spacious, wooden-floored office, where our dad, Brian Trueman, would write and perform scripts for programmes such as Dangermouse, Count Duckula, and Jamie & The Magic Torch. His voice could often be heard from the landing just outside the door. The floor itself was reclaimed from the set of a television show he produced with Granada TV, adding to the room’s unique character.
On the ground floor, the original 19th-century shutters remain in place, beautifully crafted and wonderfully sturdy, they bring a timeless charm to the windows. The dining room holds many fond memories, where generations of our family would gather for Christmas dinner and other special occasions.
We’ve always loved the multi-level garden too — offering different spaces to play, relax, or entertain, with room for everyone, no matter their age or mood.
