Description

A detached 4 bedroom home with off-road parking, garage, a private garden and no chain.

Overview

A substantial detached house with a green and private garden that, after 27 years of being a much loved family home, is ready for its next chapter and would benefit from some general updating. Sold with no chain.

Set back from the road, this 1950s built detached home has a spacious feel throughout, with lots of natural light.

There are 2 separate receptions on the ground floor – the front reception has a bay window, whilst the back reception has large doors that open onto the established garden, which has a real feeling of privacy.
The back reception is next to the kitchen, so although these are currently separate rooms, there is potential to create an open plan kitchen / family room (subject to obtaining the relevant consents).
The kitchen also has an access door to the garden.

2 useful storage cupboards, along with a WC, complete the ground floor accommodation.

Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms – 2 of which are excellent sized double rooms, and 2 single bedrooms.
The family bathroom and WC are separate rooms.
A window on the landing allows light to this level, whilst the loft is part boarded providing further storage options.

The current condition of the house offers the perfect balance – it’s very liveable with lots of retained features, but provides any new owners the scope to really add their own stamp to their home.

Outside

There is a front lawn bordered by flower beds with some mature hedging and shrubbery.
There is off-road parking for 2/3 vehicles and there is a garage to the side of the house, which measures approximately 15’3 x 8’1.
You can also access the back garden via a pedestrian side gate.
The back garden has a feeling of privacy, thanks to the mature trees and shrubs.
The back garden is lawned, and the garden is accessed either from the back reception or the kitchen.

Location

Brentry is a popular location thanks to its proximity to Southmead Hospital, Westbury on Trym Village, Cribbs Causeway and the motorway network.
There is plenty of green space nearby for walks and exploring, as well as having buses within a short walk away that either have a direct route to the City Centre via Clifton or to Cribbs Causeway with its shops & entertainment venues.
Within the next couple of years, the local station will be reopening and this will have links to Temple Meads. The new arena that is currently under construction will also be within walking distance.
There are also primary and secondary schools nearby.

We think...

We think this will be a really appealing home for a number of reasons – being detached, having 4 bedrooms, being close to a popular school, having the established private garden plus the look & character this home retains.
Having no chain will also add to the appeal.
