Having worked in Estate Agency for 30 years around Yorkshire & Lincolnshire i came back to my roots in Pontefract 15 years ago to work for Whitegates. Fiona Helm - Valuer

My career within the industry started in 2010, starting as a Lettings Negotiator, and quickly progressing to Lettings Valuer. Shortly after being introduced into the property industry, I bought and renovated my own house which is when I realised that I was very passionate about property. After this I gained experience as a Sales Negotiator working for a corporate company in the local Pontefract area. I have a passion for selling and letting houses in the areas and giving my good honest advice that brings many repeat customers back. My career at Whitegates started in August 2015 after having a short break from the property industry. During the break I worked for a large heating company providing high levels of customer service to a wide range of people.Having started my estate agency career back in 2001 I always knew that this was what I most enjoyed doing. In 2001 I worked for a local Pontefract agent gaining much experience dealing with sales transactions and satisfaction in seeing happy and excited customers moving into their new homes. Whilst working for this agent I covered many aspects of estate agency starting out as a Negotiator and was pleased when I progressed to manage my own successful branch.I am happy to be working back in the estate agency business as Sales/Lettings Negotiator. Delivering a high level of customer service, with a friendly yet professional approach.Out of work I enjoy Soul weekends, Zumba, holidays and I also am involved with charity work.

Chan Khangura - Proprietor & Managing Director

Chan purchased Whitegates in 2012.After graduating from the University of Nottingham where he studied Finance & Management, he has worked for a number of Estate Agents in the Town, predominantly within the Lettings Industry. He is extremely driven and focused on his work, aiming to please every client that we act for and to offer an excellent service to all our landlords and vendors within our large portfolio of properties. Since Chan bought the company, the business has grown exponentially, having bought other agents in the town such as Linden Lettings, Easy Lettings Northwest, Whitegates Brighouse and Whitworths Managing Agents, he has also led the team to win the Brand Leader Awards over multiple consecutive years!

Kashmir Khangura - Finance Director

Kashmir has been involved in the property industry since 1983. In that time he has renovated several dozen properties, built new flats/ houses. He has a wealth of knowledge and expertise going back 40 years. A very passionate property man through and through. Advises clients on their portfolios, having been involved in the property sector for 40 years, he has encountered almost all situations.He Has lived in Huddersfield for over 55 years, there are not many streets that he is not familiar with.He was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 1993. Has been a non executive Director of Huddersfield NHS Board [ 1998-2001]He combines his current role of Finance Director at Whitegates with Being a specialist member on the Health, Social care and Education Tribunals.His hobbies are reading and entertaining the grandchildren.
