    Brookdale Property Management are an independent letting agent covering the Peterborough area. We were established in 1989 and pride ourselves on our approach to finding the right tenants for our landlords so that the whole letting process starts on a positive note.

    Our customer service is continually rated as excellent by both tenants and landlords. In 2022, 2023 and 2024 we were awarded allAgents "Best Lettings Branch of the year", this award being added to a long list of customer service awards we have received over the years. A quick check of the allAgents and Google review sites will allow you to see this for yourself.

    We have 18 full time staff so always have a good range of coverage both in numbers and experience to capably handle any issues that come our way. We operate on a non-commission basis so you can be sure that we are not going to place a tenant in your property with only a financial reward in mind.

    Our application process has often been compared to that of a mortgage application. We carry out all referencing in-house and ask all applicants to provide three months bank statements so we may assess how they manage their money - it is pointless knowing someone earns £40,000 if you are unaware of how they spend it! We also (where practical) visit the applicants current address so we may see how they look after the property rather than just relying on a landlord reference.

    The Application Process - View The Property
    First you will need to view the property. If you are not local we are happy for you to arrange someone to view on your behalf.

    The Application Process - Apply For The Property 
    A member of staff will pass you the application form at the viewing. This same form is also on our website (search in the Tenant section). You are welcome to attend the office to apply or you can apply via email - either way please call to make the office aware you are applying.

    The Application Process - Paperwork 
    Usually we require the following as a part of the application:

    1. Completed application form for each adult (one form per adult)
    2. Proof of ID (and Share Code details when relevant)
    3. Bank Statements covering the most recent three months
    4. Wage Slips covering the most recent three months

    The front page of the application form details all that may be required but the above is a good start and will usually suffice.

    The Application Process - Holding Deposit 
    Once we have seen all your paperwork we will speak with the landlord and, if they are happy to proceed, we will take the appropriate holding deposit. With this taken the property is taken off the market whilst we conclude referencing.
